UTEP will also have a new wide receivers coach in Theron Aych. Aych spent the last 5 years at Angelo State as offensive coordinator and assistant head coach. Angelo State lead the nation(Division II) in 2015 in total offense and ranked 7th in points per game. Aych is also a finalist for American Football Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year. Aych also spent some time at Central Missouri, University of Washington and University of Houston.

And on the defensive side of the ball the UTEP linebackers will now be led by coaching veteran Don Yanowsky. Yanowsky spent two seasons with the Ottawa Redblacks (2014-2015) of the Canadian Football League as the special teams coordinator. He made his CFL debut with the Calgary Stampedes as the linebackers coach in 2012. Yanowsky was the tight ends coach/recruiting coordinator at Memphis for two seasons before his time in the CFL.
