Former Colorado edge rusher Shakaun Bowser has committed to UTEP, he announced Monday afternoon on social media.

A 6-foot-4, 235-pound transfer from Garden City Community College in Kansas, Bowser has two years of eligibility remaining after his time at Colorado and subsequent junior-college stopover. He took an official visit to UTEP on Nov. 30 and just over one week later, he's officially the 28th member of the Miners' 2025 class.

UTEP continues to pace C-USA in the 2025 cycle, as they inked 27 verbal commits last Wednesday and hold the No. 1 class in the conference by a wide margin. Bowser joins a loaded defensive class for the Miners that's headlined by three-star DB signees Grant Stewart and TJ Tillman.
