(UTEP) -- The UTEP football team will play at Tennessee on Sept. 15, 2018, its third visit to Knoxville all-time and first since 1990. Future schedules for the six-time national champion Vols were announced on Tuesday.

Tennessee has posted 820 victories to rank ninth all-time. The Vols have made 51 bowl appearances (tied for fourth all-time) and recorded 27 bowl victories (tied for sixth). Tennessee has claimed 16 conference titles, including 13 as a member of the Southeastern Conference.

Last year, Tennessee finished 9-4, 5-3 in the SEC, and beat Northwestern, 45-6, in the Outback Bowl. The Vols were ranked no. 22 in the final Associated Press poll under coach Butch Jones.

The Miners are 0-2 all-time versus Tennessee with losses during the 1986 (26-16) and 1990 (56-0) seasons, both at Neyland Stadium.
