Warren Nolen still has one official visit left before he makes his final decision, as he'll head to Arkansas State this weekend.
But as it stands, there's a clear leader in Nolen's recruitment following his OV to the Sun City last weekend. UTEP is in the driver's seat to land the 6-foot-2, 300-pound Willis (Texas) product, and he isn't shy about acknowledging that.
“I really liked what they showed me; I liked what they said to me," Nolen said of UTEP. "Honestly, if I didn’t have the official visit to Arkansas State, I would commit [to UTEP] and sign there. But I feel like I owe it to myself to see what the other school has for me.”
The younger brother of former five-star DT Walter Nolen has several Power 4 offers of his own. But Warren's recruitment has come down to two suitors in the final days. And provided the Miners can withstand the final push from the Red Wolves, they'll be able to add Nolen to a burgeoning 2025 class that currently sits No. 1 in Conference USA.
“Me and my family had a really good time," Nolen told Rivals following his official visit to El Paso. "The coaching staff was great. Coach Walden was great; just a ball of energy. It’s beautiful out there. I really liked it with the school life... They really do want you.”
